It’s always nice to discover an online shop that offers something a little bit different. Hot off the press, Starling Store only launched last week. Owner, Nicola, has been busy perusing the continent for unusual pieces. With a background in fashion and textiles, she has a great eye for contemporary and creative finds. Many of her wares are made in the UK including the adorable sail boat¬†salt and pepper shaker, handmade in Cornwall (hailing from Devon, anything from the West Country gets my seal of approval)…

The ranges are divided into stories, with whimsical names including ‘Sugar Hiccip’ and ‘Silver Soul’. What I love is her clever combo of colour and pattern, from Welsh tapestry to¬†Scandi geometrics in pretty pastel shades and she’s mixed in just the right amount of monochrome as seen in her confetti cushions and moth prints. You’ll also find vintage one-offs that she’s picked up on her travels. Take a peek here to view the full range. Happy browsing, people.
